All of our instructors are internationally certified. When you complete your lessons we will register you as as an international kiteboarder. This will give you an international membership to a kiteboarding organization.
If you would like to learn from the beach, the KiteSurf Intl Barbados team will guide you. We will take you to the best spot on the island depending on your needs and the forecast conditions.
Private lessons are just you and one of our instructors. Great if your goal is to progress as quickly as possible.

Come and try the 2020 Cabrinha Kites! We will make sure you enjoy your session with the latest and safest gear in the market. Pick your favourite kite, twin tip or surf board. We have a wide range of sizes and models.
You can learn from the beach or from the boat and lessons take place either privately, or as a group.
BEACH LESSONS
If you want to learn from the beach, the KiteSurf Intl Barbados team will take you to the best spot in the island depending on your needs and the forecast conditions.
Our special packages include 6 hours, 8 hours, and 12 hours. Within these packages each lesson runs for two hours at a time, and is customized to help you learn and progress to the best of your ability.
Hourly rates are also available, for those wanting a little taste!
BOAT LESSONS
Learning from the boat will allow you to progress faster as you will be practicing in flatter water with endless space!
Boat preparation
You will start with a beach lesson to make sure you know all the basics of kitesurfing and all the safety procedures to kitesurf from a boat.
For beginners, we begin with two hours of beach lessons. We will assess your progress and depending on this you will move on to the 1 hr of boat preparation, or complete further hours of beach lessons. The amount of hours at the beach will depend on your progression but the average for a beginner is 2 hours.
For students at an intermediate of advanced kiteboarding level beach lessons will not be needed. In this case you will only need 1 hour of boat preparation.
Boat lessons
With a maximum of two students per instructor, you will learn in open water from body draging to riding on the board! For the advanced riders, it is also a great opportunity to learn freestyle, strapless riding, learn new tricks and improve skills! Private boat lessons are also avaliable by request.
YOUR PROGRESSION
Learning to kitesurf is fun and can be fast if compared to other watersports. Every person, depending on your ability and previous experience, will learn at a different pace. Our instructors offer personalized teaching, adapting lessons to suit your progression.
Instructors are internationally certified, following a methodology to assure safety and efficiency in all lessons. Progression includes learning kite control and riding your way into being an independent kitesurfer.
